Three local basketball players will be competing in the 2024 Pizza Ranch All-Star Games later this month.
In the girls basketball all-star games, Pella’s Kennedy Van Vark will compete as a member of the Southeast Iowa girls squad. Van Vark concluded her career for the Dutch by averaging 12.7 points and 2.3 steals per game, and both marks ranked fourth in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
In the boys all-star games, Pella Christian’s Tysen De Vries will compete as part of the Southeast Iowa team, while Norwalk’s Redek Born is a member of the Southwest Iowa squad. De Vries ended his basketball career on Eagle Lane, by leading the Little Hawkeye Conference in three-point percentage this season at 44.7%, while averaging 14 points and 3.8 assists per game. Born wrapped up a fantastic career for Warriors by leading the conference in points per game with 23, while also averaging 4.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists a contest.
