Marion County Bank has donated $5,000 to the Knoxville Federated Garden Club for their fundraising efforts for a new water feature at the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden.

This new water feature will be visible by patients who are receiving chemotherapy at the new Don and Margaret Long Infusion center at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. This water feature will be part of a redesign of the Blue Star Memorial Marker in the garden and the goal is to enhance the experience for those receiving treatment at the new infusion center. The Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden is maintained by dedicated volunteers with the garden club and Dylan Morse with Marion County Bank says the additions at the garden will be great for the community.

“We really wanted to reward the initiative of the butterfly garden, all the garden club volunteers and members, and we just really think it’s a great thing for everyone.”

If you would like to donate to the Knoxville Federated Garden Club you can do so by mailing your contribution to PO Box 645, Knoxville, IA 50138.
