The Indianola boys track and field team started their outdoor season on Tuesday with a second place finish at the Simpson College Outdoor Meet, and now look forward to a tough competitive season of Little Hawkeye Conference schools. Head coach Matt Oliver tells KNIA Sports the Indians have a tall task ahead of them to achieve their goal of a conference title.
“Our conference is absolutely loaded, with Norwalk, Pella, and DCG. It’s really a grind as most of 3A and 4A is. We embrace that and know that it’s going to be tough night in and night out, but I think we are going to be ready for it.”
Action starts today at 4pm.
