Three Pella Christian High School students earned All-State nominations from the Iowa High School Speech Association this winter and will perform at the Individual All-State Festival next week.
Receiving the most prestigious honor given to individual high school speech performers were Abby Dart in Acting and Solo Musical Theatre, Cassidy Bos in Poetry, and Mia Andringa in Storytelling. Bos, who earned her first All-State nomination this year as a junior, said that the recognition came as a pleasant surprise.
“For me it was honestly like a surprise. I wasn’t expecting to get that big of an honor, but I am very thankful and honored that I am getting to go to All-State and I’m excited to see what that experience brings.”
The 2024 All-State Individual Speech Festival will be held on Monday, March 25th at the University of Northern Iowa.
