The Norwalk girls soccer team scored all four goals in the second half to open the season with a 4-0 win at ADM on Monday night, avenging a season-opening loss from last year.
Senior Anna Larson had two goals for the Warriors while Braelyn Clark and Addy Wood both added one. Assists were made by Maya Butler and Clark. Junior Emmory Toppenberg earned the shutout at goalkeeper.
Norwalk coach Andrew Messer tells KNIA Sports that he is proud of the girls for stepping up to the challenges presented to them at halftime and finding success. “I think, in my experience, that the happiest a coach can be is when you tell a player to do something and they do that thing in a game. That is exactly what happened tonight.”
The Warrior girls are back in action Friday night for another non-conference road game at Bondurant-Farrar.
