Coming off a doubleheader sweep last week, the Central College softball team remained at No. 24 in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Dutch scored a 4-1, 4-3 sweep of St. Olaf College (Minn.) in their home-season debut on March 20 to improve to 12-5. The top eight teams in the poll were unchanged, with Trine University (Ind.) still a unanimous choice for No. 1. Central is the lone school from the American Rivers Conference featured in the poll, with Nebraska Wesleyan University dropping out of this week’s rankings.

Central returns to the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex softball field Saturday to host the College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch for Saturday’s twinbill is slated for 1 pm and the games can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS with the voice of Dutch Trevor Castle and Kara Huisman calling all the action.
