As KNIA/KRLS recently reported, the contractor working on the water mains on North Main Street from Jefferson to Elm has decided to call it quits for the winter. According to Pella Public Works Director Denny Buyert, the road has officially reopened and the signs are being removed. Buyert adds that over 1500 feet of water main construction has been completed, which is over half of the total project. Work is expected to continue in April of 2011.
