The Pella and Pella Christian boys golf teams open their seasons today, competing at the Saydel Invitational.

The Eagles and Dutch competed at this same invite a year ago at Woodland Hills Golf Course. Pella Christian won the meet last spring with a score of 306, while Pella took fourth place with a 330. In addition to the Eagles winning the meet, Cooper Spronk and Eliot Menninga tied for the lowest score in the tournament, with Spronk claiming the individual medalist honors on a tiebreaker. AJ Hoekstra led the way for the Dutch in the tournament last spring with a seventh place finish, while Cade McGinley finished in 11th place.

The Saydel Invitational for the Pella and Pella Christian boys golf teams is scheduled to begin this morning at 9 am.
