The Knoxville School Board set a special board meeting and three public hearings at their meeting Monday night.

KCSD Business Manager Craig Mobley says the special board meeting is regarding the certified budget process.

“Setting the special board meeting and the first public hearing we set is due to some changes with the certified budget process that the legislator made last year. The first special meeting is for the public hearing #1 with the certified budget process. It has to take place in its own meeting so we are going to have that meeting in the board room on April 8th at 5:30, and our regular board meeting for that night will just follow our special meeting.”

The second public hearing that was set for the certified budget process will be held April 22nd at the regular school board meeting. The final public hearing that was set is regarding revisions to the 2024-2025 school calendar and preschool calendar. That public hearing will also be held on April 8th.
