The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad picked up its first win of the season with a dominating 4-1 victory over Oskaloosa on Tuesday night at Randy Wilson Track. Playing through chilly temperatures and an often heavy drizzle the Panthers struck first with 32:24 left in the 1st half when Joseph Finnegan put the Panthers on the board. That was followed by Kaison Wilder’s goal with 15:50 remaining in the 1st half to make it 2-0. Following an Oskaloosa penalty kick that cut the lead in half near halftime, the Panthers continued their domination in the 2nd half getting a tally from Jay Kellar with 27:32 remaining to make it 3-1 and Wilder nailed his second goal of the night with 3:55 remaining. Coach Dylan Mick told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team did a good job of keeping the pressure on Oskaloosa all night. Panthers Goalkeeper Carson Cecil had four saves. Knoxville is now 1-2 and will travel to Albia on Thursday.
