The Indianola Police Department sold out of limited edition fundraiser patches for the National Balloon Museum after just three hours on Thursday, with all proceeds going towards the museum after a fire last week.

The balloon museum grand opening was scheduled for today after extensive renovation, however Board President Eric Martens tells KNIA News the fire has delayed the re-opening of the museum indefinitely due to the extensive smoke damage. No injuries were caused by the fire.

The Indianola Police Department wears the patches on their uniforms during their time at the National Balloon Classic. The department issued a post on social media Thursday afternoon regarding the possibility of another round of special patches. For more information, click below.
