The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

The meeting began with a presentation from the Knoxville Community School District and City of Knoxville regarding the VA District land use map. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch and KCSD Superintendent Cassi Pearson discussed future plans for the school district to use acres within the Veterans District and came to the board to ask what the next steps are in that process.

Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian also gave a presentation at Tuesday’s meeting, regarding the secondary roads budget and five year program. Christian provided updates on upcoming road projects taking place throughout the county over the next several years. The meeting concluded with approval of five different tax applications.
