The Warren County Extension Office is hosting a class on the dangers of opioid overdose and learning more about Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, and how to administer the product. The class is for those who want to either learn more about opioids and Narcan, or think they may be in a situation where they may have to use it to save a life. The class will review the dangers of opioids and the effects of overuse on the body, identifying common prescriptions or illegal opioids, and strategies for preventing opioid misuse. The class is funded through a grant from the State Opioid Response from the Iowa Health and Human Services Department. The class is on Monday, April 15th, however registration is due today.
