Pella firefighters responded to a fire caused by an apparent lightning strike early this morning. Some flames and smoke were visible from the back side of the Super 8 as crews arrived just after 4:00 a.m. All guests were safely evacuated. The Pella Police Department and Pella Ambulance responded.
