A system that spawned tornadoes in other parts of Iowa brought two warnings locally. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from 1:05 to 1:50 p.m. for two different warnings impacting Marion County. Some weather spotters and others in Knoxville reported heavy downpours, strong winds, and some hail. A total of eight staff members contributed to live on air coverage, which also included Weatherology reports and updates from the National Weather Service. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for Marion and Warren Counties.
