The Pella Public Library will continue its Culture Night Series Monday with Culture Night: Poland.

Danuta Hutchins will share about the history and culture of Poland through her presentation: Herbert Hoover’s Role in Distributing Food in Post World War I and World War II in Europe. As a child, Dr. Hutchins experienced firsthand President Hoover’s distribution of food in Poland after World War II. A chapter in her book, Torn Out Memories, gives details of those experiences and her connection with the Hoover birthplace in West Branch. Culture Night: Poland will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room at 6:30 pm, and is free and open to the public.
