Central College set a new fundraising record during its eighth-annual Hoo-Rah Day last week. 

In total, the college raised $395,487 from over 420 donors to help support student scholarships and academic programs. Participants came from 34 states and two countries – Italy and Malaysia. Central’s Hoo-Rah Day is an annual celebration of spirit and an opportunity to share Central pride with the community all around the world. In addition to fundraising efforts, the day allows alumni and friends of the college to share photos, stories and videos through social media outlets and enjoy festivities on campus. The Pella and campus communities raised Central pride with 13 local businesses providing Hoo-Rah Day specials, while student organizations hosted activities all day and into the evening.
