KNIA/KRLS Radio once again was recognized for excellence by the Iowa Broadcast News Association for coverage in 2023.

The stations received first place for sports coverage and best podcast. These were for a feature about Pella Track and Field Senior Chase Lauman and the Dutch Memories Podcast.

KNIA/KRLS was also recognized for overall excellence, breaking news, political coverage, play-by-play, in-depth coverage, and public affairs. This included Severe Weather Action Team coverage, Food Drive Fridays, Pella City Council election coverage, and updates from the Rose Parade, among other stories.
