The Indianola Community Youth Foundation is hosting a used athletic shoe drive through the end of the school year. Executive Director Taylor Litchkey tells KNIA News ICYF will send the used shoes in to be recycled, and ICYF earns funds for each pair sent in that will go towards their programs.

Acceptable shoes include athletic sneakers, running, basketball, gym, rubber cleats, and hiking, and ICYF asks the community to not send in any non-athletic footwear including dress shoes, heels, boots, sandals, or wedges. A donation box for the event is in the Blake Fieldhouse at the Indianola Middle School.
