The Knoxville High School Drama Department has received three honors from the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards.

The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards celebrates the achievements of students involved in high school musicals across the state. Knoxville received their recognition from their performance of “Once Upon a Mattress” that was held at the beginning of March. Knoxville’s award winners were Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role – JoAnn Woods as Queen Aggravain, Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role – Rebekah Bennett as Princess Winnifred, and Distinguished Scene for “Song of Love”.
