The Norwalk girls tennis season came to a close on Tuesday with a 5-1 loss to Ankeny Centennial in team regionals. The Warrior baseball team, meanwhile, opened their season with a 5-0 loss at Waukee.

Playing in the Class 2A, Region 1 semifinals at Waukee Northwest, the Norwalk tennis girls were defeated 5-1 by Centennial in a dual called after singles play. Head coach Kristen Geisler tells KNIA Sports that the senior group will be greatly missed. “Several of our seniors have been in the varsity lineup since their freshman year,” she said. “They’ve made a huge impact on our program and have some great accomplishments to be proud of.”
