It was a shaky start for the Dutch as they opened the baseball season Tuesday, falling to Bondurant-Farrar 10-3 Tuesday evening. Pella gave up multiple runs in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings to the Bluejays and couldn’t get their own bats going until the 5th inning, when too much damage had been done. Teagan Hoekstra had an opening day home run and drove in all three Dutch runs. Pella opens at 0-1 and hosts Clear Creek Amana this evening.
