A Knoxville man died in an apparent motorcycle crash north of Knoxville Friday afternoon. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that 40-year-old Andrew Meyers was found unconscious near a 2007 Harley Davidson in a ditch on the north side of Highway G-44 following a call at 2:49 p.m. to dispatchers about a possible accident. Deputies attempted life saving measures until rescue units arrived. Meyers was pronounced dead at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. The incident remains under investigation. Agencies that responded were the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville City Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Township Fire and the Knoxville Police Department.
