Garet Williamson had a comfortable lead and looked like he was going to easily win his first career 410 win at the Knoxville Raceway. He held on, but it was a good thing the 410 A-Main on Saturday was 20 laps instead of 21 because Aaron Reutzel made a last ditch move out of turn four and it almost worked as Williamson took the win by .087. Williams led from start to finish, which was up and down with yellow and red flag periods. The initial start was called back three times due to crashes. In the 360 and Pro Sprints races, it was a night of firsts. Nathan Mills, who almost saw his career come to an end after a crash during the 360 Nationals won his first ever race at the Knoxville Raceway. Mills also led all 18 laps and had to survive multiple restarts. He told KNIA/KRLS Sports he was actually glad to have all of the restarts due to not knowing what his car would do in traffic.

Mills: “I figured lapped traffic would be tough and I was glad to see those yellows. The track really juiced up and I don’t think anyone could pass me unless I made a mistake, so that’s what won it for me”

After taking some time off to start a family, J Kinder raced to his first win since coming back as a full time driver. Kinder also led all 15 laps and won his sixth career race at Knoxville. It is another weekly show next week at the Knoxville Raceway.
