The Marion County Board of Supervisors appointed Niccole Schippers as the interim County IT Department Contact in a special session Monday.

The board met in a closed session to discuss this matter after the death of former IT Director Andrew Meyers, which occurred on Friday. When the board reconvened back into open session, it was stated that Schippers would fill in for the department and will be the authorized signer for anything IT related in the interim. Board Chair Mark Raymie also assured the citizens of Marion County in the open session that county data is still secure.
