Knoxville Girls Soccer Heads To Panorama In Regional Semifinal
The weather on Tuesday pushed several area events to Wednesday including the Knoxville Girls Soccer Squads regional semifinal match at Panorama. The Panthers are coming off a thrilling win over Albia last week that forced two overtimes and penalty kicks before Knoxville scored the win. The other Panthers come in with a 12-5 record and have scored 107 goals this season, which averages out to 6.2 goals per match and have had five matches they have scored in double figures. Knoxville Coach Bethany Johnson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her team’s confidence in their eight game winning streak has grown.
Johnson: “I think our confidence is there. We’re going to play Panorama, and that will be a boost, and we just have to play with confidence and play our game.”
Tonight’s game is set to begin at 7:00.
