Recent Pella Christian graduate Ellison Ritzert has signed to continue her academic and dance careers at Central College next fall.

Ritzert will join a Central dance program that has achieved several national honors in recent years. At the National Dance Alliance College Nationals Competition in April, the Dutch took second place in the Pom Division III category and third place in the Jazz Division III category. Central also won the national championship in the Pom Division III category in 2023. Ritzert, who will be the first legacy dancer at Central, said she is happy to continue dancing at the collegiate level.

“I am so excited for this opportunity. I’m so grateful for everything my coaches have done for me and my mom, and the ways they have challenged me. I’m really excited to continue dancing, it is a passion that I have, and especially with the Central dance team. They do a great job in the community and in academics as well.”
