Both Twin Cedars Summer Sports Squads recorded wins in somewhat opposite fashions at the baseball Sabers beat Mormon Trail 4-1 while the softball Sabers notched their first win in a 12-0 shelling of the Saints. Kaden Kloster, for the second straight night figured heavily in the Twin Cedars win. Kloster owned the Saints on the hill going 6 1/3 innings allowing just three hits on one run and mowing down 13 batters. Offensively, the Sabers got six total hits, two by Dallas Smith who also got two RBI. On the softball diamond, after two straight frustrating defeats, the Sabers got their groove back by pounding Mormon Trail 12-0 in three innings. Jillian French had a three inning no-hitter, allowing just one runner to reach base. Cristen Durian had a bases clearing double to break the game open in the 2nd. Both Sabers play Moulton-Udell on Tuesday.
