With the Memorial Day weekend here, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminds all who plan to enjoy the holiday by camping around Lake Red Rock to be safe while at their campgrounds. Park Ranger Tracy Spry reminds campers to be considerate of those around them and to the campgrounds.

“We do still continue to see issues with people letting their dogs run off leash. Please, keep your dogs on a physical leash, not a remote leash or verbal command, it needs to be a physical leash, we asked for a six foot leash, please do that to respect the owners of other dogs and children and their safety. And also with fires, keep the fire within the fire ring. Don’t have a bonfire that goes beyond the perimeter, which can scar basically the ground surrounding that fire ring and also could create some safety concerns. ”
