The community is invited to Peoria for a Service of Remembrance on Memorial Day. The event will be held in the Peoria Gym, 8 miles northeast of Pella. Brad Bierma, a former US Marine, will be the speaker for the event. Dan and Lisa Zylstra and their family will be providing special music during the service and those in attendance will get to hear the playing of Taps, watch a gun salute from veterans, and sing patriotic music. Additionally, there will be a recognition of veterans during the event and refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the service.  The event will be held Monday morning at 9 am.
