Farmers in Marion and Warren Counties can take advantage of emergency loan assistance after the severe weather events of the spring as requested by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. The US Department of Agriculture and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has determined Iowa meets the requirements for an FSA Administrator’s Physical Loss Notification, which covers physical losses such as a building destroyed by a tornado or livestock-related losses. Marion and Warren Counties were part of 29 counties across the state that received the designation. Farmers looking to take advantage of the disaster assistance can contact their local FSA or find more information here.
