The young Knoxville baseball Squad is off until Wednesday when the Panthers play arguably their toughest assignment of the season so far, heading to Ballard, the team that ultimately ended their season last summer. This is a different Knoxville baseball squad from the talent infused team that went 34-4 last year, but the Panthers have started the season 3-2 and are showing signs of a team that may be a handful for opponents later in the season. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this group is a work in progress and going over the little things will be very important.
Devore: “Some of those processes that we talk about, we need to execute better, and we’ll talk about those and get a little better.”
Knoxville stands at 3-0 in the South Central Conference and will take on Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Centerville this week.
