Former Pleasantville baseball player Kyle Amendt was promoted last night to AA in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.

Amendt, a 2018 graduate, was promoted to the Amarillo Sod Poodles from the Hillsboro Hops who are the Advanced A affiliate of the Diamondbacks. Amendt has appeared in 11 games this season carrying an impressive 0.68 ERA with 27 strikeouts. Amendt played college baseball at Southwestern CC and Dallas Baptist.
