Twin Cedars Summer Squads both played non-conference road games and baseball fell to Clarke 8-1 while softball got a win over Davis County 8-2. In the softball game, Jillian French controlled the game with an 11 strikeout performance, scattering six hits and just three walks going the distance. On the offensive side, the Sabers got production up and down the order with Alli Reed and French leading the way with three hits and an RBI each. Ami Mockenhaupt drove in three runs on two hits plus Cristen Durian, Kenzyn Roberts, and Khole French got two hits each. The baseball Sabers got down early 6-0 and could never recover, committing four errors. Clarke posted three runs in the 1st and 3rd innings to take control. Gavin Clark got the lone RBI in the 4th inning. Chase Roozeboom took the loss going three innings. Both Twin Cedars Squads are set to host Moravia tonight.
