The family of a young girl who died in a sledding accident last year continues to help others through her legacy. An event called Milly Moo’s Love for the Little Dutch Academy will be held on Saturday, July 6th from 5 to 9 p.m. at Sun Valley Barn in Pella. Milly’s mother Kristi has been working to make the most out of last year’s tragedy, whether it was through Milly Moments this past winter or last year’s fundraiser for the Marion County Humane Society. Zellmer says Milly loved preschool, and she’s hopeful the community will join them in supporting the new Little Dutch Academy in honor of her late daughter’s passion for learning.
