Knoxville Raceway has announced a new partnership with 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, marking a significant milestone for both entries.

This partnership will rebrand the weekly 410 class as the “988 Lifeline 410 Sprint Cars” making 988 Lifeline the first-ever 410 class sponsor for the Knoxville Championship Series. As part of this collaboration, race fans can anticipate messages highlighting the importance of seeking help in various challenging situations. A program provided by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers providing 24/7 free and confidential support to folks in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Knoxville Raceway General Manager Jason Reed says this partnership is a great way to help make people aware of the programs available to them if they need help.

“We just thought it was good for everybody. We’ve gotten a lot of good feedback on it. People have said it’s really helped them out, and they didn’t know those programs were available for them or someone they know. It seems like a good fit so we’ve expanded it this year.”

Whether here or from afar, race fans will discover that the 988 Lifeline can help Iowans, or anyone visiting Iowa, get through a crisis by dialing 988.
