The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams swept ACGC on the road in their respective doubleheaders Thursday night.

The Trojan softball team defeated the Chargers 4-3 in game one. Lainey Kennedy got the win on the mound holding ACGC to three runs as she had five strikeouts. Taylor Perkins had a home run in the second inning for Pleasantville while Danika Park, Kennedy, Emily Roe, and Madilyn Rowson all had base hits in the game with Faith Nelson having a stand up double. 

In game two the Trojans defeated the Chargers 9-2 as Lainey Kennedy got another win on the mound. Taylor Perkins had a two run home run in the third inning and Madilyn Rowson had a two run home run in the fourth which was her third homer of the week. Seven of the players in Pleasantville’s lineup had one or more hits in game two, and Taylor Perkins had three RBI in the game. After both wins, the Pleasantville softball team improves to 12-6 overall and will next compete tonight against PCM. 

The Trojan baseball team defeated the Chargers 7-4 in game one as Caylor Jones was the winning pitcher. JJ Phillips and Caleb Cook had three hits in game one while Braylon Bingham had two. In game two, Pleasantville got the 13-2 win in six innings as Brayden Kennedy was the winning pitcher. Caleb Cook, Owen Rule, and Easton Cox all had two hits a piece in game two. After both wins, the Trojan baseball improves to 11-7 and will next compete on Monday at Earlham.
