The Pleasantville baseball team blew out Earlham on the road Monday night as the softball team came up short. 

The Trojan baseball team defeated the Cardinals 16-0 in four innings to secure the West Central Conference series sweep. Dylan Aldrich pitched a four inning, two hit shutout for Pleasantville. Offensively the Trojans exploded as Brayden Kennedy had three hits on the night while JJ Phillips, Braylon Bingham, Logan Roff, and Aldrich each had two. Kennedy and Roff each had 4 RBI in the game as Kennedy and Phillips each had a home run. After the win, the Pleasantville baseball team improves to 13-7 overall and will be back in action tonight against Collins-Maxwell. 

The Trojan softball team fell to the Cardinals 4-1. Lainey Kennedy was the starting pitcher for Pleasantville giving up two home runs and two hits to give Earlham their four runs. Pleasantville coach Alee Phillips said her team struggled getting the bats going in the contest as they just had singles from Danika Park (2), Faith Nelson, and Kennedy. Phillips said her team did play a solid game defensively despite the struggles on offense. After the loss, the Trojan softball team falls to 12-8 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday at Southeast Warren.
