The Pella Christian summer sports teams return to non-conference action tonight, with the softball team hosting Grand View Christian and the baseball team hosting Moravia for single games on Eagle Lane.

For the Eagles softball team, tonight’s contest serves as an early preview to the start of the regional playoffs, where they will face the Thunder in Des Moines on Monday, July 8th. With just two games left in the regular season, Pella Christian is hoping to snap their 22-game losing skid and gain some momentum ahead of their postseason matchup against Grand View. Tonight’s meeting between the Eagles and Thunder will be the first in the Bound era between the two teams.

The Pella Christian baseball team wraps up the week against Moravia, while looking to snap their three-game losing streak this week that featured defeats at Pella and Norwalk. The Eagles will face a Mohawks team that enters the game with a 21-7 record and that has gone 4-1 in their last five games. Tonight’s contest between Pella Christian and Moravia will be the fourth between the two teams in the Bound era, with the Eagles leading the series 2-1 after winning last year’s matchup at Principal Park 7-0.

Pella Christian’s softball game against Grand View Christian is slated to start at 7:15 tonight, while first pitch of the Eagles baseball game against Moravia is scheduled for 7:30.
