It has been a tough year for Brian Brown. Inconsistent runs and in his words overdriving the car have caused him to go winless in 2024. That string of bad luck came to a screeching halt Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway as he won his 66th career race at the half-mile taking the lead after a late restart in the 410 A-Main heard live on KNIA. It was setting up to be a four car battle between Brown, Austin McCarl, Chase Randall and leader Emerson Axsom. However on lap 16 of 20, McCarl and Randall tangled in turn two eliminating both and that set up Brown to blow by Axsom on the restart. Brown told KNIA/KRLS Sports late race adjustments and knowing what Axsom was going to do helped.

Brown: “I don’t know if I was the fastest car in the middle of the race, I know I was the fastest car at the start and I got stalled out there and let Austin and Randall by, then that incident happened, and I saw Emerson’s dad tell him to run the bottom.”

Aaron Reutzel won the 360 race passing Jamie Ball on lap 13 and he too had to survive a late race restart. In the Pro Sprints J Kinder continued his run of success as he won for the 4th time in five nights taking the lead from Mike Mayberry on lap five and never being challenged.
