Round two of three of the 2024 Des Moines Challenge Disc Golf Tournament starts today at Pickard Park in Indianola, the fourth consecutive year the event has been held in Indianola. Tournament organizer Ty Tannatt tells KNIA News this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever, and will look to capitalize on the big numbers of visitors and local businesses who make sure the event is a success.
The event brings thousands of visitors to Indianola this summer, and will be one of just 20 tournaments held nationwide as part of the tour in 2024. Over the last several years, TruBank has contributed to make the prize totals even for both the men’s and women’s category, one of the only events in the country to do so.
