The Indianola Parks and Rec Afternoon Adventures Speaker Series continues today with a presentation on Iowa’s most recognized landmark, the Capitol Building. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News former state restoration painter, historic researcher, and author Rosa Snyder will go over untold stories, share several before-and-after photos, tours of rooms not normally seen by tourists, and discusses the step-by-step restoration process. The event is sponsored by Community 1st Credit Union and Humanities Iowa, and takes place today from 1-2pm at the Indianola Activity Center.
