The Pleasantville baseball team defeated the Central Lee Hawks 5-3 to advance to the Class 2A Substate 6 semifinals.

The Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but the Trojans answered right back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third to tie the game up. The Trojans put up two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a Brayden Kennedy RBI double. Pleasantville hung onto the 5-3 lead to secure the win. Kennedy was the winning pitcher going 5 ⅔ innings. Braylon Bingham, JJ Phillips and Logan Roff both each had doubles in the game and Roff, Phillips and Caleb Cook had an RBI each. 

The Trojans will now face Interstate 35 in a substate semifinal matchup Saturday night in Truro.
