The PCM baseball team fell to Des Moines Christian Tuesday night in a substate quarterfinals contest to end their 2024 season, and the softball team fell to Gilbert in their last regular season game.

The Mustang baseball team lost to the Lions 11-1 in five innings in their Class 2A Substate 6 quarterfinals matchup. The Lions exploded for seven runs in the first inning to give them a 7-1 advantage over the Mustangs. Des Moines Christian then put up two runs in the third and fourth to put the game out of reach and secure the win. Sophomore Coby DeRaad had the lone hit in the contest for PCM. The Mustangs end their season with a 10-13 overall record.

The #8 ranked Mustang softball team fell to Gilbert 8-1 to conclude their regular season. Rylee Parsons took the loss on the mound for PCM. Tori Lindsay had the best night offensively for the Mustangs going 2-3 at the plate with two doubles. The PCM softball team concludes their regular season with a 21-4 overall record. The Mustangs will be back in action on Thursday for a Class 3A Region 2 postseason matchup against Greene County at home.
