The Pella Public Library will welcome Dr. Paula Plaza for the program Mind in Motion: How Moving your Body can Boost your Brainpower and Quality of Life on Monday, July 22nd.

During the program, residents are invited to learn more about how regular exercise positively impacts brain function and enhances memory, attention, and overall mental well-being. The program will also discuss the protective effects of exercise against age-related cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. The session will provide practical tips and guidelines on incorporating effective physical activities into your daily routine.

Dr. Paula Plaza is a professor of physical therapy at Universidad Andres Bello, Viña del Mar, Chile. Her current research focuses on the role of physical activity in cognition with public health applications.
