The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the individual who was killed and the driver who was life flighted after a vehicle drove into Accura Healthcare in Knoxville Monday afternoon.

According to the report from the Iowa State Patrol, 70-year-old Rebecca Richardson of Knoxville was the victim who was killed in the crash. The driver of the 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, who drove into the building, was 86-year-old Doris McCombs. McCombs was transported by helicopter to Mercy One in Des Moines. The report states that while traveling through the parking lot, the vehicle failed to maintain control and accelerated through the parking lot and struck the side of the building. The vehicle went through the wall of the building and struck Richardson on the inside. The report states that the vehicle then continued through the room and eventually came to a rest inside the building. The collision is still under investigation.
