team-10

The season ended last Saturday at Carlisle, but the Knoxville Softball Squad knew it had given everything Carlisle wanted in the class 4A regional semifinal. The Panthers came into the regional round mostly stuck in neutral after losing six of their final eight games, and getting ten runed in two of those. Coach Chris Peden was wondering how his team would respond to a one-and-done scenario and he told KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls came to practice and made a commitment to correct things in time for the regional opener.

Peden: “We regained what we lost in those practices, but they showed up and had the right attitude to get better and that’s what I liked about that.”

Knoxville would finish 11-14 this season and lose three important seniors from the roster.
