The #8 moment from Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas is again on the Saints side. Freshman runner Trista Hansaker had a solid cross country season. Yesterday in the #9 moment she was one of three athletes at Melcher-Dallas to earn all-conference cross country honors. Her running was not done in the spring but she would become a sprinter for the Saints Track and Field Squad. In a meet at Centerville on April 15th, Hansaker broke the 100 meter record at Melcher-Dallas that had stood for nearly 50 years when she ran :13.02. Hansaker not only won the event, but helped the Saints win the meet. There will be more on Hansaker’s track and field efforts later on in the countdown.
