A way for local residents to help those with food insecurity in the community is coming in September, with the Helping Hand Run & Jam 5K. All race profits will be donated to Helping Hand, Indianola’s local food pantry., and to sign up for the race, you can bring five non-perishable food items or pay $10. The Run & Jam is for anyone from a seasoned runner ready to get a new PR to someone looking for a relaxing Saturday morning walk with friends to help a great cause.

The event will take place on the McVay Trail on September 21st at 11am, with the KNIA Big Red Radio on location playing music and making announcements. Find registration information below.
