An Indianola man had a lucky streak at the Iowa State Fair, as 56-year-old Steven “Jack” Stout won $500,000 from the grand prize of the game show on the Grand Concourse in the heart of the Iowa State Fairgrounds. According to the Iowa Lottery, Stout was one of 19 contestants to win and had a chance to win a prize of up to $5 million and came close to that during the final round, but ultimately uncovered all of the game pieces to win the $500,000. Stout said after winning in an interview with the Iowa Lottery that he hoped to win $10,000, but with winning $500,000 he might be interested in buying a house, and he couldn’t believe that he had won.
